Sustainable Urbanisation
Embedding nature as a core component of the urban environment is critical to mitigating the well-known biodiversity impacts urbanisation causes. We believe this approach makes up the core of healthy, happy and vibrant communities, where people living within these places are key beneficiaries. A focus on walkable and cyclable vibrant street networks, that promote interaction between community members to promote wellbeing, is integral to achieve through project design and delivery.
By undertaking a ‘Biodiverse Urbanism Approach’ we look at alternative ways to value existing on-site biodiversity, while also looking to promote and build biodiversity in the fabric of the urban sphere, benefitting both communities and the planet.
